Do you want to experience Tenerife beyond the beaches? The local markets of the southern part of the island are the gateway to the true Canarian culture: local products, traditional craftsmanship, and the genuine atmosphere of the towns. From Los Cristianos to Adeje, we tell you which are the best markets, what you can find in each one, and when to visit them.
Los Cristianos Market: the most popular in the south.
Location: Avenida Juan Carlos I, very close to Playa de Los Cristianos.
Opening hours: Sundays and Tuesdays, from 09:00 to 15:00.
The Los Cristianos market is a must-visit if you are staying in the south of Tenerife. With dozens of outdoor stalls, this market is perfect for searching for Canarian crafts, clothing, accessories, vinyl records, books, and small decorative objects.
What to try here: Although not primarily a gastronomic market, some stalls offer typical products such as Tenerife honey, local spices, and artisanal preserves. The atmosphere is relaxed and very touristy, ideal for strolling on a Sunday morning while enjoying the southern climate.
How to get there: The Los Cristianos market is located a 15-minute walk (approximately) from Hotel Reverón Plaza. If you are coming from another part of the island, you can take the bus with lines 483 or 467.

Arona Farmer’s Market: direct products from the field.
Location: Calle Cooperativa 2, Arona.
Opening hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00.
If you are looking for fresh local products, the Arona Farmer’s Market is the place for you. Unlike the tourist market, here you will find freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, local honey, artisan pastries, and other foods made by producers from the municipality.
Highlights:
- Fruits grown in Tenerife.
- Seasonal vegetables.
- Artisan cheeses.
- Traditional wines and sweets.
It is an ideal place to talk to producers and learn more about how local products are grown and produced.
Adeje Agro-Market: tradition and craftsmanship.
Location: C/ Archajara, Adeje.
Opening hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 to 13:30.
The Adeje Agro-Market is one of the most complete in the south. With more than 35 stalls, this market stands out for its variety of fresh local gastronomic products.
The market has free parking, a cafeteria, and public restrooms, making it very comfortable for families. Additionally, the atmosphere is authentic and very local, perfect for getting to know the producers in the area and understanding how island life is.
Must-try: Internationally award-winning goat cheeses, native flower honey, beefsteak tomato, dragon fruit, and traditional pastries.
In the municipality of Adeje, there are periodic markets that combine local products, gastronomy, and craftsmanship..

Other market options in Tenerife.
La Recova Market (Santa Cruz): the gem of the capital.
Location: Calle San Sebastián, 51, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 14:00 and Sundays from 07:00 to 14:00.
Although it is in the capital, the Nuestra Señora de África Market, known as La Recova, is worth a visit if you are traveling to the north. This historic market, open since 1943, is the gastronomic heart of Santa Cruz.

Its neocolonial architecture, with open courtyards and over 200 stalls, creates a unique atmosphere. Here you will find the widest variety of fresh products: fish, meat, exotic fruits, seasonal vegetables, spices, flowers, and typical Canarian products.
Don’t miss: Gofio (star product of Canarian cuisine), fruits, fresh fish of the day, and the flower stalls that fill the market with color.
Extra: On Sunday mornings, the Santa Cruz Flea Market is held on La Rambla, a perfect antique and second-hand market to combine with a visit to the main market.
At Hotel Reverón Plaza, we believe that traveling can also be a way of caring. For nearly a century, our family has worked on a model of hospitality that respects the land, the people, and the history that surrounds us. Today, that commitment takes shape in a project that combines tradition, innovation, and consciousness: circular economy applied to tourism.
A tourism model that cares for its surroundings.
Hotel Reverón Plaza’s commitment to emotional sustainability.
Our understanding of sustainability goes beyond recycling or energy efficiency. For us, it’s about creating a balance between well-being, community, and environment. We advocate for a tourism with soul that generates positive impact on both the visitor and the territory.
That’s why our daily decisions —from local suppliers to the experiences we offer— are based on the same idea: that each stay leaves a positive footprint in Tenerife.
Circular economy in action: meaningful partnerships.
Finca Anconito: ecological production and clean energy.
The green heart of the group is located at Finca Anconito, a self-sustainable space in the south of the island. There, nature sets the pace and every resource is used respectfully.
Finca Anconito features a natural purifier, solar panels, and ecological production, making it a fully functioning model of circular economy. It’s an example of how hotels can integrate sustainability into their DNA beyond words.
Local collaborations: Bodega Reverón and close suppliers.
We work with local projects and producers, like Bodega Reverón, who share our vision of respect for the land and tradition. The wines born in their vineyards are part of our gastronomic proposal, symbolizing that connection with the environment.
Furthermore, we prioritize the use of local products and collaborations with artisans, ensuring that the value generated by tourism stays within the community.

Plant a Dream: an initiative that leaves a green footprint.
60 trees and a message: together for a sustainable future.
Within this commitment arises the initiative Plant a Dream, a project driven by the Reverón Group at Finca Anconito, which has managed to plant 60 trees to date.
Each tree represents a promise for the future: giving back to the land part of what it gives us and contributing to a greener and more resilient Tenerife.
“A day to remember that together we not only create unique experiences for our guests, but also a greener and more sustainable future for Tenerife.”

Responsible tourism for a greener Tenerife.
Sea, mountain, and sustainability: a network that connects territories.
The group has built a sustainable network that connects its different spaces: Hotel Reverón Plaza, by the sea of Los Cristianos; Hotel Spa Villalba, in the heart of Vilaflor’s forest crown; and Finca Anconito, a symbol of responsible production.
This connection between sea, mountain, and land reflects our vision of integral tourism, where personal well-being joins the well-being of the planet.
The Reverón Group’s legacy towards purposeful tourism.
Sustainability is part of our history and our future. Since 1929, four generations of the Reverón family have seen tourism as a form of service, care, and balance.
Today, that philosophy translates into concrete actions: clean energies, local products, circular economy, and conscious experiences that inspire our visitors to be part of the change.
Traveling can also be planting.
At Hotel Reverón Plaza, every guest is part of a story that continues to grow: that of a tourism that cares, respects, and gives back.
Receiving the Traveller Review Award 2026 is, for us, much more than a badge of honor. It is the confirmation that the path we have been following for almost a century, based on close relationships, authenticity, and respect for our history, still makes sense today.
This recognition comes directly from those who can best evaluate our work: our guests. People who have shared with us their rest, their getaways as a couple or with family, their peaceful stays by the sea, and their way of discovering Tenerife from a place with soul.
An award born from the real experiences of our guests.
What is the Traveller Review Award from Booking.com? It is an annual award given by Booking.com to accommodations that maintain high satisfaction standards, based on thousands of real reviews. It is, essentially, a faithful snapshot of the traveler’s experience when they cross our doors.
For us, this award is a way to validate something that we have always defended: that hospitality is not only measured in facilities, but in how we make the person who chooses us feel.
Every comment, every rating, and every word shared by our guests build an honest image of who we are today as a hotel.
You can learn in detail what this recognition consists of on the official page of Booking.

Why it holds a special value for us.
The Hotel Reverón Plaza is not just another hotel in Los Cristianos. We are the first lodging in the south of Tenerife, a place that has seen the destination grow and has accompanied generations of travelers since 1928.
For this award to arrive at a time of renewal and reaffirmation of our identity has a special meaning. It reminds us that the combination of history, seaside location, and human treatment remains our greatest strength.
History, human treatment, and location: the pillars that define us.
Our location, just steps from the beach and the port, connects us with the real rhythm of Los Cristianos. Our rooftop, our rooms, and our common spaces are designed for resting without isolating from the surroundings.
But above all, we believe in a close hospitality, where the guest is not a number, but a person with a name, history, and expectations.
A team that turns each stay into a personal experience.
This award is also a recognition of the daily work of our team. People who pay attention to details, listen, recommend, and accompany each stay with naturalness and professionalism.
None of this would be possible without those who live the hotel from within and transmit our values in every gesture.
Over 90 years hosting travelers in Los Cristianos.
From our origins as Fonda Aeropuerto started by Antonia Reverón Sierra to the current Hotel Reverón Plaza, we have evolved without losing our essence.
This gratification connects past and present: the tradition of welcoming well and the current demand to offer memorable experiences.
Thanks to those who are part of this award.
We want to thank each guest who has taken a few minutes to share their experience. Their words help us improve, grow, and continue to offer a hotel with its own identity.
This Traveller Review Award also belongs to them.
We continue looking to the future without losing our roots.
This award propels us to keep moving forward, reinforcing what makes us unique: our history, our location, and our way of understanding hospitality.
We will continue working so that each stay at Hotel Reverón Plaza remains true to what we have been for almost a century: a place where the traveler feels at home.
